Reaching 100K followers organically: A nostalgic run-down to this milestone



As we look back on the past year, we are both proud and amused by the incredible journey our Social Media team has undertaken. This is the story of our strategic approach, which has resulted in achieving 100K followers on LinkedIn. Starting from scratch gave us ample opportunity to apply proven tactics for success. Reaching the 100K milestone reflects our team's innovative approach to connecting with our audience. 


When we set out with a small team, we dreamt of landmark milestones. Just a couple of years into the journey we have landed on our big first achievement. We started with an aim to make content stand out from others, and we knew delivering exceptional content would require more than brainstorming sessions. It needed creativity, thinking outside the box, and most importantly, consistency. Introducing new-age tactics like crisp videos, insightful content series, and leadership thoughts helped us accelerate to 100K feat. We kept our approach simple, process-oriented and allowed the results to reap.  


We focused on producing authentic quality content that resonated with our target audience. Out of the many successful content series, the Yearbook Campaign was a huge hit where we focused on a recap of employees’ most cherished moments of the year. We aimed to come up with an idea that would not only attract maximum traction but also nudge employees to share their fun and frolic moments.  


An idea germinated from a quick brain-storming session, resulted in massive participation and reactions, boosting employee morale and creating a nostalgic feeling.  

Of course, we cannot forget our most impactful campaigns, "Fulfill your Foodies", impactful content segments like "Tech Talks". We managed to generate huge reactions, which had a great positive reinforcement on our team and the company. It gave us the confidence that we were, indeed, headed in the right direction, and our commitment to meaningful content was being rewarded.  


Incorporating employee branding into our posts has allowed us to highlight our core culture and values. We ran around asking lots of people for their input, which helped us understand what works best for our account. By focusing on a wholehearted approach, we were able to convey the essence of our company culture in a way that’s both genuine and compelling. 


You might be wondering about the identity of the person behind the ideations and the campaigns? Well, it was not the contribution of any one person but rather the Content Team's dedication to work towards this. Tirelessly working in the shadows deserves their own spotlight of recognition, doesn't it? The heartbeat of our creative efforts, the Content Team's ability to strategize new concepts, co-ordinate across different pods, stay up at night for some last-minute editing sprints has brought every idea to life. The team members Zakki, Amith, Ayesha, Oyendrila, and Vanshika's efforts have been instrumental in amplifying our reach and ensuring our posts get the visibility they deserve.

 

We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to Keshav Meda for his remarkable leadership. Keshav's guidance has been crucial in steering our campaigns and ensuring we remain active and engaging on the platform. 


A special shoutout to our Design and Videography team for their tireless work behind the scenes. With Bhaskar and Manu strategizing to Anjali and Atharva making sure the designs are perfect and the Video team's Lideesh, Nikhil, and Alan capturing every moment exactly as thought out in the head, everyone's contribution was equally important. An additional thanks to the entire Marketing Team and everyone else who turned to actors for our posts. Whether you are part of the social media team, the content creators, or just someone who’s cheered us on from the sidelines, your support has been integral in our journey.  


As we prepare for the year ahead, we are excited to build on our successes. Our aim is to continue being more active on our platforms while maintaining our trademarks; consistency and creativity.
